Frozen Ball of Fun!

Frozen Bathbomb Review

Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well and had a good Christmas! So I am here today with a review of this beauty above which is the Frozen bathbomb from Lush. It is the one based on the movie; I was given it for Christmas from my friend and as it's Frozen related I couldn't not review it for you guys.

This mix of ingredients create this fun bathbomb to fizz away in your bath!

It started fizzing away and let out this mix of deep and light blues with whites which are the main colours associated in the film Frozen. The moment it hit the water the smell of bright refreshing scents filled the bathroom. The smell was luckily not too over powering as there is a mix in this bathbomb of rose oil and grapefruit - separately strong scents that some how compliment one another within this Frozen-esk ball.

The deep blue colour that came out of this bathbomb was phenomenal. I think I'm definitely more into the brighter coloured bath bombs than the pastel ones or murky coloured ones. I was mesmerised by the colour of this.

The silver lustre and snowflake lustre was obviously perfect for this bath bomb because Frozen is all about snow and ice etc. But it had a gorgeous glimmer of glitter that ran throughout the white and the blue within my bath water. My favourite part probably was the glitter as it stayed throughout your bathing experience and over your skin after you've gotten out of the bath.

Out of the experience of this product from Lush, I mainly enjoyed watching it. I just loved the blend of the colours and you can see amongst the blue and white that there was a little bit of a purple hue in the mix of the bathbomb. The patterns it created were stunning to look at.

As we got further into the bomb fizzing away, the scent filled the air so much more. This was when I could really smell the rose clearly and I thought it was an interesting scent to add into a blue bathbomb as you'd normally associate roses with pinks or reds in Lush products. It was a pleasant surprise that made me happy as Rose is one of my favourite scents.

Once I'd gotten into the bath the only part left was the blue because all of the whites and light blues were mainly bubbles. But if I looked closely enough I could see all of the beautiful glitter like when you look at snow and ice in the sunlight.

The main benefit this bathbomb did for me, beside remind me of Frozen; it made my skin softer. There's definitely something within the silver and snowflake lustre that add to making my skin softer because the glitter lasted throughout. It gave me a pretty healthy glow from the lustre on my skin.

Overall, it wasn't my ultimate favourite bath bomb I've ever had from Lush. However, it isn't just for kids due to the benefits of the soft skin and the healthy glow within it, if you love winter or Frozen like me then you'll love all the colours, and of course because it's a bright blue it's fun for all the family - completely grasps the concept of the film and the fun of it for the kids. I'll definitely buy it again one day, but not one I've gotten extremely excited over.

What I Got For Christmas 2015!

Hello my lovelies! I hope you're all well and have had an amazing Christmas weekend! I had such a lovely Christmas Day and Boxing Day - I got lots of lovely things from family, friends, and of course my parents. I just want to put a little disclaimer, this is not me bragging about anything I've got for Christmas, I just really like to share these kinds of posts with you. So I hope you guys enjoy seeing what I got for Christmas this year.

So guys all of these presents are in a random order as I can't see the pictures in the insert image tab - only the image numbers. Anyway, I got this beautiful bracelet from my girl Gabby. I absolutely love it. I really want to put more charms on it but I have no idea where it's from.

Never ever did I think I'd own a Michael Kors bracelet. I was so surprised when I opened this; my auntie gave me this and I absolutely love it. It's so pretty and it's rose gold! I love a bit of rose gold jewellery.

You gotta have at least one DVD for Christmas but this year I got 4! All the ones I wanted! So here we have Cinderella, Inside Out, The Duff, and also I got Ted 2. Probably my favourite films from this year.

I was so excited when I opened this! The Vampire Diaries season's are what I get every year for Christmas. I think I'd be distraught if I didn't get them. It's my favourite show as we all know and this the complete sixth season - so we're all up to date with the box set.

The Naked Smoky pallet is something I have wanted since it came out. So needless to say I was so excited when I opened it on Christmas Day. Thank you to mum and dad very much for buying it me. I cannot wait to create some killer looks with this pallet for you all - all the colours are stunning. I might create one tomorrow for when I go out with Heather for her birthday.

I got a Christmas book! Wahey. I can't read it right now as I'm reading Girl Online and I've got so many other's to read. Knowing me, I'll get around to reading it next Christmas time.

I'm looking forward to going back to uni and using this to bake some delicious treats for me and all my friends. I'll probably use it before I go as well.

Can't wait to use all of this! Thank you to Charlie for getting it me. You've gotta love some Soap and Glory at Christmas time!

Christmas makeup bag! I love my makeup and Christmas so what's better than having it all into one? Can't wait to use it and store all my makeup into it.

A new eye smudger! You can't have enough makeup brushes as a girl. I'm so happy to have some more.

Got my favourite Disney character on a mug thanks to Charlie! I love this mug so much. I can't wait to take him back to uni with me.

Ooooh more eye shadow pallets! I can never have enough eye shadow pallets to create new looks with! I've swatched all the colours in this one as well and they're gorgeous!

Some cute Rose's to put in my baths!

Bing Bong Pop Vinyl from Meg!! Inside Out is one of my favourite movies ever and now I need to collect all the figurines from it.

This adorable rabbit light which will be perfect to sit on my dressing table.

I got this pretty little fragrance atomiser to put into my bag when I want to take perfume on the go. I thought this was really handy and really cool. You could take it any where - just out with you for the day or on holiday if you don't want to take out the full bottle. I can't wait to use it.

I love this bubble bar star in the snow fairy scent from Lush. I've never tried one but I absolutely love the smell and have always wanted to try one. It's pink and glittery - my two favourite things.

I've wanted Zoella's shimmer duster puff for ages! I absolutely love it - the glimmer pay off is stunning and you can see it throughout the day. Plus, it's so pretty and girly!

I got some lashes! Now I've never worn them as I feel my eye lashes are pretty long anyway and I feel my glasses will just get in the way. But this is a great opportunity to experiment with them! I probably wont use them all, so I'm thinking about giving Chloe some for her birthday as she loves her lashes!

I got more makeup! Can't wait to use all these as I have never had Technic eye makeup before so I'm excited to try it.

New brushes from my favourite brand! I'm really excited to use these as they're so soft and a girl can never have too many makeup brushes. I need to buy a new pot for them all to sit in.

I actually love the smell of this perfume. I didn't expect to get it as I didn't ask for it but I actually love it. It smells refreshing and light which is a nice perfume to go into using for spring.

I've been really impressed with Studio London's sets this year. I've had two - this one and the golden set from my Secret Santa. I love the lipgloss colour - I wore it on Christmas Day. It's surprisingly really pigmented and not overly sticky. I really want to buy some more as now there's all the sales on all of the Christmas products.

I love Ted Baker. Their products and packaging is always spot on. I can't wait to try all of these products.

Joy from Inside Out is the next figurine in my Inside Out Pop Vinyl collection thanks to my girl Heather. I love her to pieces, I need the rest! I think I'm going to buy myself Disgust next.

I've also been given this beautiful looking book by Heather. I'm really looking forward to eventually reading it as myself and Heather have been eyeing it up in Waterstones for ages.

This mug was also from Heather and I'm in love with it. She knows how obsessed we both are with The Vampire Diaries; she knows me too well! I'm gonna have to use this whenever I'm watching it now!

My honey, aka Chloe, gave me all these lovely Lush products! I was not expecting any of these whatsoever. I've used the butter ball bathbomb which is pretty similar to the butterbear and I've used think pink before - loved both of them. She clearly knows me so well! But the pearl massage bar I've never used so I'm looking forward to trying that out.

I've been given so many shower and bath based products that I wont need to buy any when I go back to uni. In this set it's different scents - Honey, Coconut, and Clementine. Can't wait to use them all!

I got new bag with a matching purse! I'm so happy! It kind of just gets to the point with my bags where I still like them but I'm a bit bored of them. But I haven't been looking for a new one so I don't know what one I want. I've been obsessed with maroon colours recently and this one is in maroon! Thank you to my dad for picking it for me! I love it.

Scarf's are probably one of my favourite accessories! I got the red and black one from my auntie - plus it's reversible. On the other side it's black and white. The light brown neutral shade one was from my mum and dad. I can't wait to wear them! They're absolutely massive - as big as blanket wraps.

I got another perfume! Again, not expecting it, but it smells really nice. It's light and floral - again, perfect for going into spring.

I got a candle with K on! It has no smell, I want to take it to uni, which I most likely will do as you can't beat things to add to your room to make it more personal. I'll just never light it as we're not really allowed them (shhh)

Got this cute little hot chocolate mix from my cousin! I love home made gifts like these! I'm thinking about doing something like this next year for some friends - small little gifts. I feel like it makes gift giving more personal. I think I'll do it for people's birthdays next year.

I think this thing is so cool. You guys don't know this about me but I've got really hard skin on my feet (don't judge me, were all friends here). But this little set will hopefully help keep them nice and smooth and pamper them all year round.

That is everything my darlings! I did also receive some underwear, socks, money, vouchers, and a hell of a lot of chocolate!

That is my What I Got For Christmas post done for 2015! I hope you guys enjoyed reading and got lots of wonderful Christmas presents.

Bye for now,

Katie

Christmas Gold: Glitter Liner and Bold Red Lips

Hey my lovelies, I hope you're all well and welcome to a Christmas makeup tutorial! (finally) I created this look this morning which means for once while I write one of these I'm still wearing it! I actually created this last year and and wanted to share it with you last year but unfortunately I wouldn't of had time to do it and upload before Christmas Day. But this look is really easy to create and takes literally no time at all (depending on how long it takes you to do your makeup) I hope you guys enjoy!

Step 1

So firstly I took a warm brown shade and then blended it all over my lid.

Step 2

Once I was happy with the brown (it looks really dark right now, but don't worry I re-blend it later on) I took my Studio London gold glitter eye liner. So firstly I drew out the shape that I wanted and it's just your normal eyeliner with a long flick. I then went back in with another layer just to make it more opaque.

Step 3

Then what you want to do is pick up a clean brush and dampen it a little bit so the big flakes of glitter will stick to it. I took some more of my glitter eyeliner a followed the line a little bit at a time so I could add the big flakes of glitter and let them set onto my eye. The glitter pot I'm using is one by Academy of Colour (it's meant for nails) and it's just their big gold flake pot.

I've used glitter before on my blog and I've said it before, but I'll say it again. If you guys use big glitter like this for anything be careful as eyes are sensitive and believe me it's not fun when you get this stuff in your eye as I've done it. That also goes for taking it off as well.

Step 4

I then went a head and did my makeup as I normally would. So on my face I've got:

  • Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer in fair
  • Rimmel London's Stay Matte powder in 001 transparent
  • Primark's PS Love pink shimmery eyeshadow as my blush
  • Mua's Undress Your Skin highlighter (the classic one)
  • Maybelline's Brow Drama brow gel in dark brown

Step 5

I used my Stay Matte powder under my brown bone. I blended a light eyeshadow skin colour shade onto my eyelid to soften that brown and make it warmer.

Step 6

Finally my favourite part, I added a classic Christmas red lip! This is a matte lipstick by Collection in the shade 19 Red Carpet. As always I applied this with my lip brush and then filled in the colour. I love this shade and it's really easy to apply.

Step 7

Then we're finished! I feel like my hair crinkled/ waved finishes off the look perfectly. And of course I'm wearing a Christmas jumper! My Christmas jumper is from Newlook for any one who is interested.

I hope you guys enjoyed this makeup tutorial that you can wear whenever you want really. It's perfect for your Christmas party or Christmas Day celebrations! Not to mention super easy to achieve.

Thanks for reading guys and I'll be bringing another post just before Christmas so keep your eyes pealed for that!

Bye for now,

Katie
