7 Mini Beauty Reviews!

Hello everyone, I hope you're well and have had a good half term if you're living in the UK and I hope everyone's been having a good day. I'm very sorry that I haven't posted since 3/4 weeks ago. I've been really busy with college work, my birthday that was a few weeks ago - don't worry I will do a post on it soon, and I've had an awful cold for the past 2 weeks! It's beginning to clear up now and subside a little, but it's just been making me unmotivated to do anything and I've been hitting some writers block if I am being honest with you. But a lot has been going on in this month of May which means I will have to do an update post in the next couple of days.

But recently, I have buying lots of new products in the last few days - weeks and I've decided to do a quick short review on some of them as I think they are so good and are really good prices for what you're getting. This could be the first time in a while that I've loved so many products at once.

Here are the products I am reviewing for you guys today. They are all affordable and available in the drugstore!

1. Facial Scrub and Revitalising Cream

I decided to do these as a pair because they are from the same brand.

Revitalising Cream:

I got this cream as the idea is that it revitalise your skin and you can also wear it under makeup so it will boost your skin even when you're wearing a full face of makeup. I prefer to put it on at night and let it soak in over night which seems to work well for my skin as I wake up and my skin looks clear, fresh, and bright.

I like the products consistency, it's not too sticky or too wet. It's also quite thin which means if you want to apply more it wont make your face caked in cream. It soaks in quite quickly and overall does what a revitalising cream is supposed to do.

Facial Scrub:

The main reason I got this one was for the smell. I love really refreshing smells like apricot, mango, papaya etc. As well as being a fantastic scrub the smell is amazing. It makes myself and my face feel really healthy and clean; due to the smell of this I feel more awake whenever I use it.

The only downside is it can sting a bit if your skin is sore. I've had a cold for 2 weeks and as I keep blowing my nose it got really sore underneath my nostrils. Therefore just be aware of that if you have sores on your skin etc. I can cope with it though as it's only on there for a few seconds and then it's scrubbed away again.

2. Rimmel London - Rita Ora Nail Varnish

These I have been loving and I want to get the whole collection as they are so cheap. But these are Rita Ora's newest nail varnishes in the Rimmel London collection and are perfect for summer. The colours I have (left to right) are Daisy Days, Glastonberry, Peachelle, and Port A Loo Blue - they are all related to summer and a festival like vibe which I really like.

The packaging is the cutest and I absolutely love it! Can't wait to buy some more next week as they have millions of more colours.

3. Makeup Revolution Pro Fixing Makeup Spray

I got this product last week because my face makeup with powder on recently hasn't looked it's best. I normally use Stay Matte from Rimmel but it's not working for me anymore - it makes me look cakey and full of make up on my face and I don't want that. So I got this to see if it would help me out and it didn't really make it look any better, so I changed my powder.

But I really like this product as it does set my makeup in place and helps to stop it moving off my face during the day. I spray it after I've done my foundation and concealer and then again after I've applied my powder on top. I do about 5-6 sprays each time all over my face and just let that set it into place. I think it does work well as I look at my makeup at 10:00pm and it's not all completely rubbed away and it is still mostly in place around the t-zone. I love this!

4. Makeup Revolution Ultra Face Base Foundation

I've been using this for about a month now and it is probably the best foundation I have ever used. I love how unique it is because it is a mix of foundation and BB cream which means it has the coverage of a foundation but the lightness of a BB cream which is really good because I hate piling on foundation as it just doesn't look good. Also, this colour is perfect for my skin and I didn't think it would be because it has a pink tone in it even though it is their lightest shade. I feel like it really brightens up my skin and highlights my skins features. Normally I do not go and repurchase foundations because my skin usually gets bored of them and I look for a new one to try but this one was so good that I went and bought it again recently.

5. Maybelline Matte Maker

The colour Classic Ivory
This product I bought last week and only started using it a few days ago and I already love it. I got it in number 10 Classic Ivory. It is a better colour for my skin than the Stay Matte powder from Rimmel - it actually sets my foundation and makes my skin look nice. It is a lot lighter than the Stay Matte powder as it comes out easily onto my brush whereas I feel I have to scrape the Stay Matte powder out on a pad to get it out.
This powder lasts all day, enhances my skin and makes my foundation look lovely, doesn't look cakey, and it does make my skin look matte but also lets the highlighted points of my face still shine through unlike Stay Matte.
I love the quality and the packaging is lovely and I am so happy I bought this powder because I absolutely love it.

6. Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Mascara

Oh my god! This mascara is my new favourite! I absolutely love, love, love it! I makes my lashes pure black and super long and makes my eyes look bigger than they are. It is such good quality for the price you pay. Every mascara I have ever had from Maybelline I have loved and they never fail to impress me.

Before...

 After...

You can really see how long they are compared to before and this is with no curling, just with a bit of normal primer coated over my lashes as I find it helps with mascara application. This mascara makes you look like you're wearing a natural pair of false lashes without the hassle of having to apply any. Love this mascara very much!

You can also see how light my hair has got in these images due to the Casting Sunkiss Jelly I've been using from L'Oreal which I am gonna be doing a big review and demo on etc.

7. L'Oreal Cleansing & Perfecting Milk

I've had this product for a little while now and it was absolutely worth buying. It is actually a really lovely product. It is so soft and nourishing on the skin. I choose to use it after I've taken my makeup off with a makeup wipe to make sure all of the makeup on my face has been fully removed.

It's a great product as it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated and makes my skin look healthier as all of my makeup is definitely out of my pores. Therefore my skin wont be left looking oily and slightly run down.

Alright everyone that is it for this post, I hope you enjoyed all of my opinions on these products. Hopefully in the next week they'll be a haul post on here because I ordered some new makeup from Makeup Revolution and I can't wait for it to arrive so I can do some new fun looks with all the colours for you guys and swatches etc. I have got loads of post plans but it is finding time to fit them in as college is coming to an end in the next 3 weeks and it's gonna be a really emotional end to an incredible two years. However, my years final show is going to be amazing and I can't wait to perform with them for the final time.

That's it for now,

Bye,

Katie
