February Favourites 2014!!!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I'm so sorry that it has taken me more than a week to post my favourites for last month, I need to get better at in future! But nevertheless here we go with my February favourites...

1. My "Doc Martens" boots

Right, these aren't real Doc Martens but they look exactly the same but they were a cheaper price! I don't know what the shop was called but they do some lovely shoes in there and it's a shop in Milton Keynes Shopping Centre.

Anyway, before I wore them they gave me blisters so I had to stretch them out a little bit inside before I really got to wear them. I still wear plasters with them when I do wear them because I feel more secure in that I wont get any redness or blisters that way.

I really love these boots because they're so easy to wear, they go with virtually anything, they're perfect for winter/autumn time. They are absolutely a god send in the rainy weather because you're feet do not even get cold or wet at all.

As you can see from the picture on the right they are just lace up and a zip and they're pretty plain but they will go with absolutely any outfit. But as the warmer months come along I will probably be into my cute little converses and sandals etc.

2. Charlie - Enchanted

This month I have been adoring this spray because it's just really light weight and sweet scented floral smell. I feel like as it's becoming warmer and were moving into spring that I will wear body sprays soon more than perfumes just so I'm not over loaded with different smells whereas winter I feel like it's not as bad.

I feel like body sprays will become a massive thing this year for me through spring and summer!

3. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

This month BB cream has been my go to face product because these are so much easier and quicker to apply than foundation and right now my skin is pretty bad in clearness because I keep forgetting to cleanse it at night (don't judge me). I've also ran out of primer and do not have enough money to go and buy more because the foundation I have looks dreadful on my skin without primer underneath it.

Also, I feel that BB cream looks more natural which is what I prefer in spring and summer because for me it's all about still looking nice with less hassle. Therefore I may not go back to the foundation I had, I might just stick to BB cream and concealer.

But for BB cream it just blends into the skin as it's moisturising and gives a natural shine/glow to my skin therefore I have just really been preferring to use this a lot this month.

4. PS Love... Brow Pencil

Oh my god, I cannot express to you how much I love this brow pencil because I have looked so long for an eyebrow pencil to match my hair colour and it is so hard as I've never dyed my hair like most girls, therefore my hair colour and eyebrow colour is virtually the same.

This is quite a chocolate brown colour but the top layer of my hair has been dyed by the sun there it's a dark/chestnut colour on top which is perfect because this eyebrow pencil matches that.

I've been having a play around with the super dark/thick brow look and today I tried the more natural subtle colour brow and I think I will fill them in really lightly from now on instead of pressing the colour on as it doesn't look as nice as what I tested today. But I've been adoring this brow pencil and you should all go and grab one from Primark as it's their makeup range! They are in brown and blonde and a darker brown I think.

5. Colour Couture Dramatic Eyes
Okay everyone, I got this set for Christmas from my auntie and uncle and I've been really loving trying out different eye looks with the colours as they were more day winter looks and I really enjoyed playing around with them.

The packaging is the cutest thing ever and I can't even describe how perfect it is as it so beautiful. I just love it.

Here we have what is in the set, the eyeshadow colours: you get 10 different colours of light and dark. You get three eyeshadow dusts in a white/silver colour, a grey colour and a black colour.

You also get some mascara and eyeliner along with some little applicators.

Finally, a how to do a certain look guide to get you started!

6. Colour Couture Lipgloss
This was the second set I got from my auntie and uncle and I didn't use it for a little while until Feb and now and I adore this set!

The colours in it are so good just for a plain lip for just lip gloss or you can layer them over lipstick to make them more glossy and less dry which is what I do with a lot of these lip glosses.

Once again, this packaging is just adorable and I cannot get over how much I love it!!

Okay, in this kit you get 4 lip glosses in tubes which you can slip into your makeup bag or handbag etc.

You receive 9 pallet lip glosses which are alot less pigmented than the tube glosses. But I've mainly used the red, light pink, dark pink and medium purple shade in the actual pallet colours.

In the tube lip glosses I've used the more natural lip colour which is the first one on the left, I've also used the dark pink one next to it and more recently the light pink one as I have lipstick in that colour now. I think I will use the very end one in more summer time.

It also comes with a lip applicator which helps apply lipstick and the gloss and I adore that as it's made wearing lipstick with gloss easier.

Again, it comes with another how to do a certain lip style.

You also get a lip gloss glitter in a tube, but personally I do not like it as I think that is a bit tacky and the glitter inside is green not just plain glitter. It also makes my lips feel tingly and weird and I do not like that.

Okay that is everything everyone, I am sorry that there hasn't been many this month, but I am hoping as March is now here that there'll be a lot more in this up coming month.

Thank you all so much for reading if you did and I may post again a few days depending on what I can post and think of. But I will get back to you soon... hopefully.

Bye for now guys,

- Katie

Colllective Haul: Newlook, H&M, Superdrug & More!

Hello everyone, once again I haven't posted for a couple weeks because I have things to post I can just never find the time to sit down and complete it! But I am here now with lots of things to post so hopefully it'll all be fine! My February favourites will be coming up in the next couple days everyone! Okay, on with the haul everyone...

Firstly, I am going to start with Newlook as that's the place I've bought the majority of clothing form in the past few weeks.

The first item from Newlook is this simple colours of grey and black that has a slight line effect in the middle with a mixture of black, grey and white along with some cute design gold zips at the bottom. I really like the this jumper and I think it would look dead nice with black jeans or a black skirt as this will probably be worn mostly for the last leg of winter as it's almost spring now.

This top was £7.00 in the sale.
Secondly, I  got these two kind of acid wash tops in mint green and purple. These tops are really simple and just something nice to wear for spring with jeans, skirts and shorts. It's nice to a pastel pop of colour for spring because my style and colours change with the seasons. Both tops are also really spacious, baggy and long which is what I really like in tops.

Single top: £9.99
Or two tops for £12.00
Another plain top now because I just really liked it. It's a cotton main part of the top and then the sleeves are black leather and I felt it was different as I have nothing like this in my wardrobe currently. I will probably wear this top for the last leg of winter because it's quite dark colours whereas in spring I prefer to wear lighter colours. I will most likely pair this with jeans and a black skirt etc.

This top was also £7.00 in the sale.
Finally from Newlook I found this oversized branded logo t-shirt that I absolutely love because I can wear this at any point in the year. I can pair it with shorts and jeans etc; it's just an acid wash deep green-ish colour with white writing on (as you can see in the picture). It feels really nice therefore it will feel really comfy as I am wearing it.

This top was £8.00 in the sale.

Next I went to H&M and I wanted to get two tops but unfortunately the other one I wanted didn't have a bigger size up like this one did so I am going to order that one on their website.

Anyway, I adore this jumper so much because it isn't thick, it is thin so I can still wear it when it is slightly cold but getting warmer instead of my super thick jumpers that I wore through December and January.

The best thing about it is how it feels, it is one of the softest jumpers I have ever felt and the design on it is just adorable and I can pair this with so many different items, such as: skirts, jumpers, leggings, shorts if I really wanted to.

This jumper was £12.99

The first items of jewellery I purchased were from River Island; I don't usually buy anything from River Island as a lot of their clothes aren't for me, they don't fit me and I find that it can be too expensive. But me and my mum just went in there to have a look and I found these adorable daisy pieces that I think would be absolutely adorable to wear in spring as I have a massive floral obsession during spring and summer.

They also had these items in a light pink and a dark pink but I went for the classic daisy colours. You could also buy a necklace to match the earrings and bracelet but the chain wasn't long enough for me. Plus they're so dainty and I want more dainty jewellery items and I finally found some.

Bracelet: £3.00
Earrings: £2.00

I got this ring about a week ago from Accesorize when I went to Milton Keynes with my parents and my best friend. I didn't do a haul post for that because I just didn't find the time but I thought I'd include this as I took a photo of it for my Instagram whereas the clothes I haven't take photos of.

Anyway, this ring I absolutely love and it will definitely be in my February and probably March favourites too. It is just a silver ring with the a type of moonstone gem on top that shines beautifully in the light (as you can see in the image) and it's just so easy to wear as there's no gems that get caught on clothes or anything and it is smooth and goes with anything.

 £12.00

My mum bought this for me the other day as I've wanted to get this highlighter for ages and I finally have it and it is such a beautiful pinky shimmery colour. It hits the light on your face perfectly and makes your skin look beautiful and radiant. Also, even just as how it is in the pot looks gorgeous.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder
£3.00

(<-- swatch of the colour)

Next from Superdrug I bought some MUA eyeshadow in shades 24 and 4 (top to bottom) these colours are so pretty and and shimmery but I think if you blend them out enough they will become less shimmer and more colour focused. I might try to pair both of these colours together for one look as I think they'd look gorgeous together with the purple colour on the lid and the shimmery pinky/brown shade in the crease.

(swatches of the colours--->)

£1.00 each

The final items are these lipsticks from Collection in: Sweet Tart, Sugar Plum and Valentine (top to bottom)

I absolutely love these lipsticks, the red one (Valentine) I received for Valentine's Day from my mum and dad and it's a very bright red that you could wear on an every day basis in winter or just in general if red lipstick is your main colour.

The next colour up is the purple shimmer shade (Sugar Plum) I also bought this in Milton Keynes because I fancied getting another one and the colour is definitely a spring colour because it a deep pink but it is not bright like Sweet Tart.

Finally, I bought the popping pink shade (Sweet Tart) yesterday because I really want to keep buying more because their colour pay off is brilliant and this one is definitely a spring/ summer shade because it's still shiny like the purple colour but is a little more matte.

Overall, my favourite things about these lipsticks are: their colour pay off is brilliant, they last for several hours, I pair them with lip glosses that match to make them feel nicer on your lips as sometimes they can feel very dry so adding lipgloss is a great solution to that.

These were all £2.99 from Superdrug.

(<-- swatches of all the colours, Sweet Tart then Sugar Plum and Then Valentine, as I'm really bad at describing lipstick colours)

Everyone, that is the end of my haul and I hope you enjoyed reading if you did and I will get back to you possibly tomorrow or in a few days with my February favourites! I hope you all have a good rest of the day and I will see you soon. Bye for now guys,

Katie
